Official Pictures of Tolu Odukoya and Olumide Ijogun's White Wedding in Lagos

It was love at first sight when Olumide saw Tolu way back in secondary school ( Greenspring college, 1998) he  instantly knew there was something about this girl he just couldn’t let go. Fast forward fourteen years later and he’s decided to make an honest woman out of her and marry his teen heartthrob on the 3rd November 2012 held at the Fountain Life Church, Ikeja. The now Mrs Ijogun is the daughter of the late pastor Bimbo Odukoya  and Pastor Taiwo Odukoya who is the senior pastor of the same church.

Tolu informed us that she wanted a classy but simple wedding theme and she worked this through with her supportive event planner, Yewande of Eventful and she had no regrets whatsoever with the final result! Her beautiful wedding dress was sourced from Pronovia Barcelona and the lovely cocktail pink dress from the famous Nigerian designer, Deola Sagoe. Regarding the inspiration behind the bridesmaids classy look, Tolu mentioned that she wanted something different and simple. She and the bridesmaids decided to go for the Vintage look of the 70’s with the color theme of mango orange and turquoise blue and ‘boy’ did that come out just perfect on them.

On advice to give to other future brides, she said that it is very important for would-be couples to put on the’ planning cap’ very early on and not wait till the last moment. She mentioned that she used to think it would be easy to plan a wedding without any worries but she realized there’s a lot to sort out like the wedding colors, dress amongst others. ‘At least have a clear mental idea of what you want on your wedding day’.

The official white wedding pictures looks captivating and we are grateful to Mr Olabanji of  Photonimi for the kind submission of these beautiful pictures . We wish Tolu and Olu Ijogun a happy and the best marriage union ever!  We do hope you get inspired with these lovely pictures.

Hello, I would like to know how to dress my the men in my wedding party with my wedding colors and where do find those hats and some elegant handfans for my bridesmaids, any vendors that I can purchase from, I am also looking for fabrics that are Nigerian but I will be having it styled western for my girls. I want to thank you so much for your help, thank u

    • Hi Natasha,
I assume the main color is lilac? Then the GM could have their suit in black and tie in lilac and the groom can wear a black tux, if he can get his hands on cummerbunds and bow tie in lilac, to set him apart from the GM, then the best man in black tux and bow tie.

      # handfans: yes there are some vendors you can get this from ( am assuming it’s not the traditional handfan)
      # Fabrics: yes they are loads of fabric that can be mixed and tailored to meet your designs

Are your bridesmaids in Nigeria? I can get all this for you please check your email.
