Wedding songs are an essential part of the wedding ceremony and must be carefully selected to uplift the mood and feelings of  everyone most especially the bride and the groom. The songs played are to acknowledge and confirm your commitment to love one another and cherish that bond of union. Hence, weddings songs are not to be left to the decision of the DJ or left for until the last minute.

Just like choosing your wedding dress or your wedding colour being your own; your wedding songs should be given due consideration when planning your wedding. Start collating your songs from 3-4 months to the wedding. Songs for the  wedding procession, reception entry, father and daughter song, Mother and son song and dance songs for the guests at the end should be chosen.

The best love songs are so deep in lyrics that you can’t help to give way to tears of joy and appreciate the value of your partner whether married or contemplating marriage. I remember attending a wedding and the DJ actually played a song meant for couples who have broken up and trying to get back on! What monstrous disaster. It not only fouled my mood for the whole day but also killed the spirit of other guests who were looking forward to dance (red flag: importance of having a wedding planner).
