BK Concept Presents Christy and Alex PreWedding In PortHarcourt
A bright and beautiful beginnings for so many lovebirds and the wedding season has officially started in Naija whoop whoop! For today’s prewedding, first off, we love Christy and Alex’s prewedding theme. I always have this idea that nothing really seperates the love you see among Bikers so for Christy and Alex to have chosen this as their theme, then it reflect a tight bond that no one can come inbetween.
This theme is refreshing and so cool! Creatively captured by Henry of BKConcept, we love every bit of this and their story on how they met is so touching and I am very happy for both of them. Getting loved by someone whom you really love is EVERYTHING! Christy and Alex got married on the 16th August 2014. We hope to share that with you soon. Congrats Christy and Alex, may yours be a taste of LOVE forever.

One beautiful late November morning 2012, a mutual friend sent a picture of a drop dead handsome guy asking if I knew him or ever seen him. I replied no, but I thought to myself that knowing him would be nice. Little did i know our mutual friend had previously sent my pictures to this drop dead handsome dude (my husband to be) and I was like really!!!!!! (Winks). Two weeks later, I received a phone call from him; we got talking regularly and spending long hours on the phone. I always looked forward to hearing from him daily, because I enjoyed every bit of his conversation. I finally got to meet him when he made a request to see me and I obliged him. We meet close to my family home and chatted a bit and he dropped me off at a super market where I ran some errands for my elder sister and he left. I had to travel with my family a week to Christmas and the calls and chat messages stopped. I picked up my phone on Boxing Day, which was the 26th of December and called him. A few seconds into the conversation he asked (sorry, who am I speaking to?). My heart sank and I said so you don’t have my number? It’s Christy; I just called to say hi and good night. I dropped the call and instantly my phone rang. It was him but I was too upset to take the call (before nko?) he kept trying even till the wee and early hours of the morning and I felt it was not fair before he changes his mind (LOL). The next time it rang, I answered and he apologized and gave sincere reasons why he did not contact me. After we talked and hung up, I saw myself doing the victory dance in my room (you know now). I was back 2013 from holidaying with my family. He invited me for the 2013 New Year Sunday service at his church of worship, and I could not wait for that day to come. After service he invited me to his apartment so we could talk some more. We talked for about an hour and I made a request that we have launch at an eatery; my treat. He said okay and we left. The evening of January 6th 2013, he called me up and started saying sweet things that he wanted us to be more than friends. Trust me now, the yanga started and I was enjoying every bit of it. I later said yes after enough sweet talk and persuasion and went to bed with a smile on my face. Let me just say that I found my soul mate and slice of Heaven, when I decided to tear down that wall. God smiled on me another time when He gave him (Alex) to me.
Towards the end of November, a mutual friend of ours was on the phone conversing with me and I dropped a hint I was hoping to get into a stable serious relationship with a single and descent girl. The next day he sent me some pictures of two ladies. The first one did not catch my eye, soI let him know. He sent the second and she was pretty and we got talking but we just could not hit it off. I guess I was asking the wrong question and that did not sit well with her. The last picture he sent was a very pretty damsel with her hair done in a hip abi na how girls dey call am sef? ‘J lo’ abi na ‘mop’ I no sabi (LOL). I assessed the three pictures my friend sent and what I could deduce was that she paid a lot of attention to her looks and outfits. I told my friend, ‘bros!!! no vex oh, I know you got my back, but I am not looking for a fashionista or model to date’. I am very weary of those kind of girls which he knew, so he laughed really hard and told me not to worry that she was from a good home and I even knew here elder sister when we were still in the university. I said I would give it a try and see where it heads. Two week later I called her after some hesitation and spoke with her for a couple of minutes and she seemed nice and responsive to my every question. I called her regularly and meet up briefly with her once close to her family home to see her in the flesh and she looked more beautiful than her pictures. We continued communicating into the new year of 2013 when I invited her for Sunday service and she honoured my invite. We sat together and I noticed she was very nervous and I smiled inside and felt that as a good sign. We had lunch on her later that Sunday and we talked for hours before we said goodbye. Later that week I felt I was a bit sure I wanted to ask her out officially. With some humor, calm and determination, I proceeded to win her heart and it was no easy task doing it over the phone cause I could not see her facial expressions if I was derailing or on track. Goodness smiled on me and she accepted and let me into her heart.
