Eternal Pictures Presents Kehinde and Adeyanju’s Traditional Wedding
I absoluteley adore this traditional yoruba wedding of Kehinde and Adeyanju. Quite cute couple too. The very first time I stumbled on a bridal portrait shot of Kenny, I knew I had to get the pictures and could not also wait to get the gist behind this beautiful couple. Kenny looks beautiful and her choice of colors are just perfect. The orange she used for her aso-oke then the green number and silver she later wore. Her smile was what captivated me and am sure that was a huge part of what captivated Adeyanju too.
Gbenga of Eternal Pictures also did a very good job of capturing the fine and sweet moments of these sweet couple.Am so glad he shared. Kenny has a lot to say about everything! She also shared some fun engagement shots which I will put up soon.

How We Met:
We were born in same town.We attended the same primary school:”Auntie Bisi Nur/Pri school,Ikare Akoko,Ondo State”. My parent moved to Lagos but I always go to ikare to spend vacations with my Grand Mum and also enrol for summer lesson(Secondary school). I bumped into Adeyanju during a Summer lesson and he had asked if we could be friends, but he was very controversial and handsome so lots of girls were always after him. That made me to stop talking to him then we lost contact after that, but as fate would have it, we met again on one of the social media, got talking, went on a date…..after 2 years he proposed, 11 months later we did our traditional marriage.

How He Proposed:
We went out to Metro lounge in Benin,Edo State with His friend. That nite there was a life band and he told me he could remember when he used to sing,I was shocked because I know he has a croak voice, and then he said he felt like going out to sing, then I asked if singing was anything like medicine (he being a medical doctor)….so he challenged that we should take a bet he’s going out to get the microphone and sing, so we took the bet…..I was so scared for him cos I know he doesn’t know how to sing and he is a shy person. I saw him walk over to the manager of the lounge to make the arrangement, lol……the band stopped their music and announced that Adeyanju will like to sing for his Girlfriend, that scared me again because if he should mess up,I would cry for him,so he went on stage and started telling the house how great I’ve been and all, I got angry because that wasn’t what we agreed on, he was supposed to sing not talk, and to my greatest surprise he sang with the band and then after, he asked the house to join him in asking me to marry him…..I wanted to faint. Adeyanju has been my friend from childhood so saying “Yes” to him was my greatest joy. I love him nd will always love him, Christ is our strength”
My Aso Ebi was handled by “SouvenirsByTosyne” She picked the beautiful material for my friends and that of my 5-sisters…She handled everything so well, she’s someone I can always recommend for people. Our wedding preparations was not easy at all, so many challenges and all, the main reason was I’m not based in Nigeria and Adeyanju had little or no time due to the nature of his job. Being in America and expecting things to be done the way you want can be killing. when I thought I have put everything in place and something comes up again. For example I arranged with a musician, talked with his manager. he even came to New york and I reminded him….then 5days to the wedding, he called to tell me he won’t be able to entertain at the wedding anymore , OMG….I wanted to pass out. You can imagine….Couldn’t sleep, bothered….as our wedding was during festive period, all other top musicians were fully booked. We had to talk to someone that knows someone (you know how it works in Nigeria)….2 days later we got a musician. The stress was not easy but its worth it.
Another issue I faced was our Traditional cloth designer. Our clothes were not delivered until our wedding day(morning) which was suppose to have been delivered 1week earlier but when she delivered it, I couldn’t get angry any longer cos it was very beautiful…*smiles*
